Looking back

I look back and wish. Wish hard. Wish well. Wish. For easy days, with lighter smiles, and vibrant hearts. And then I remember the darkest of days. How long they felt. How they came and went. So I remind myself a new day will come and somber days will be -once more- a memory gone.

Ocean

I miss you more than I ever thought I would. The freedom you give me, the momentary pause from my thoughts, the beautiful gifts I discover, the peace that seeps into my soul when I’m surrounded by you, your swift movement and nurturing noise. Dear Ocean, wait for me…I’ll see you soon

Something new

My heart races. It’s scary, it’s wild, it’s unusual. I face the unknown trusting my gut and my heart. I take a breath and just go -can’t over think it. It’s a risk? Yes. Is it worth it? Definitely. I can hear each heartbeat and my stomach flutters. I smile. This is living.

Tengo miedo
